Step into the heart of Lapland with a visit to an authentic reindeer farm, one of the oldest in Rovaniemi. Set in a peaceful location away from the city, the farm offers a wonderful opportunity to meet and feed these gentle Arctic animals, capture memorable photographs, and hear fascinating stories about reindeer herding traditions and everyday life in the North. The highlight of the experience is a traditional 2.5 km reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy surroundings. Afterwards, enjoy a hot drink and light snacks while learning more about the important connection between reindeer, nature, and local culture. How long is the reindeer sleigh ride?

This is a traditional 2.5 km ride through snowy forest — five times the distance of our short farm ride, and long enough for the sleigh to settle into the quiet rhythm reindeer actually travel at.

Which reindeer farm do we visit?

One of the oldest authentic reindeer farms in Rovaniemi, in a peaceful location away from the city.

What else is included in the visit?

Meeting and feeding the reindeer, time for photographs, and stories about herding traditions and daily life in the North, followed by a hot drink and light snacks.

Do we need our own winter clothing?

No. Thermal clothing and snow boots are provided, and return transfers are included.

Do we get a keepsake?

Yes. Each participant receives a Reindeer Driver’s License.
